Goodbye Netherlands

So I finished here I suppose :-( My experiments are done. My data are in the computer. Now I need to apply statistics and write my article! Oh yeah!

I will miss so much the Dutch muffins...

If you are asking... yes I ate them all
Oh yeah, this is the last photo of the building in front of my room. It's almost finished

Rotterdam

Rotterdam flag
With my friends from Iran, Ahmad and Ali, I wisited Rotterdam. Rotterdam is the second-largest city in the Netherlands (more then 600,000 inhabitants) and one of the largest ports in the world. It was completely renewed after WWII and now is fully modern city. Enjoy some pictures:

Harlem & Teylers Museum

Harlem (circa 150,000 inhabitants) is the capital of the province of North Holland, which at one time was the most powerful of the seven provinces of the Dutch Republic. The city is located on the river Spaarne and it has been the historical center of the tulip bulb-growing district.

In Harlem we found the Teylers Museum. Established in 1778, Teylers Museum was founded as a centre for contemporary art and science and it is the first and oldest museum in the Netherlands. Teylers Museum displays an eclectic collection of fossils, minerals, scientific instruments, medals, coins, and paintings. It's a cool museum for a biologist! There is a nice shop too - mostly about nature, evolution and some art. I bought here interesting DVDs about prehistoric animals.

The first discovered Archaeopteryx (from 150 to 145 milions of years ago, Jurassic period)
A terror bird skull (Phorusrhacidae, from 62 to 2 milions of years ago, Cenozoic era)
